'The Price Is Right’ Contestant Dislocates Shoulder During Win Celebration

A contestant on a recent episode of 'The Price Is Right' has dislocated their shoulder while celebrating a victory,

Contestant Henry was seen in a video, jumping up and down after winning Bonkers, punching the air with excitement. Host Drew Carey has revealed his celebratory dance ended in an injury.

“Henry was celebrating and going ‘Woo’ and he dislocated his shoulder. So, he’s not gonna be able to spin the wheel, but Alice is going to spin the wheel for him.” Henry’s partner proceeded to spin him a 95, sending him through the Showcase Showdown, where he ended up scoring a Hawaiian vacation."

“He won a trip to Hawaii and the ER #PriceIsRight. Henry is feeling better and [is] all healed now!”

Many fans have praised his endurance saying:

“What a trooper! He stayed the entire game obviously in pain."

"That was crazy to watch. He had to be in pain, but he kept on going!! So glad he gets a trip!”

He is not the first contestant to gain an injury while appearing on the show. Back in 2014, a contestant named Judy fell and injured her ankle while spinning the Big Wheel. She carried on to play Showcase Showdown on crutches.

“Judy took a tumble on the Wheel spin and hurt her ankle, so we had some medics come out and take a look at it, tape that all up, put some ice on it."

In 2018, one other contestant by the name Fernando did a somersault onto the stage while entering. At the Big Wheel, he fell face-first to the ground after being beaten by another competitor.

Drew Carey has also gained multiple injuries, one where a contestant named Sona knocked him down while hugging him in celebration.

He found the accident funny, and could be seen holding back laughs while introducing her next game.

He has also cut his hand after his arm got stuck in the rotating apparatus for Grocery Game in 2007. This happened before his first episode aired.

He took over as host from Bob Barker, who retired in 2007.

Bob Barker shared his thoughts on Carey's hosting three years after.

“He does the show differently than I did. I tried to make the show really exciting, and he doesn’t do that. He just plays the games.”

The two were joined together many times over the years, most recently co-hosting a special April Fool's Day episode in 2015.
