Thi Pham moved to Shoreline, Washington in 2017 in order to live with her husband William Healy.

From the moment Pham arrived, she was verbally attacked from a racist next-door neighbour Jan Myers, the couple explain.

According to the couple, Myers began calling out slurs including "Miss Vietnam" and "Miss Saigon," also alleging she was a mail-order bride.

Myers explained she only ever had a problem with the couple's cat, who she said kept shitting on her lawn.

She also said the couple were secretly taking pictures and videos of her.

One video released showed Myers walking around naked from the waist down, on her front porch in front of Pham's 2-year-old son.

In April, 2021 Pham called police on Myers alleging she threatened her while she was gardening.

Despite all denials, Myers was arrested and charged with a felony hate crime.

Part of the charge was that she stay away from Pham and family, and refrain from harassing her.

The couple have now filed a lawsuit alleging the violation of that charge. Their lawyer has expressed Myers continues to "harass" and "stalk" the family.

The family believes police involvement was not enough of a hint to stay away.

Pham has taken videos of Myers sitting in her car, leering at Pham and rolling the car back and forth. They showcase Myers rolling down her window and yelling "Come on out you slant eye." She then says to Pham "I called the cops on you, you little slant eye."

Myers also goes back onto her driveway, before veering back onto the road and yelling "You're not gonna live very long" before driving away.

An attorney representing Myers has explained that she has kept up with court orders and has left Pham and her family alone.

"If that were true, my client would be arrested and charged with numerous violations of a no-contact order or an anti-harassment order - which hasn't happened."

He also pushed away allegations Myers has it out for Asians and minorities, explaining other neighbours have complained about her and they were white.

"They also were treated poorly, allegedly, by my client. She appears to not favour anybody. She probably has some issues with everybody, not just minorities."

According to a police report, Myers has said she was telling Pham to move out of the way because she didn't want her to get hurt by the car. "She doesn't even speak English so she probably doesn't know what I said." She also alleged Healy had "just bought" Pham "like a month ago."

"He just went over to Vietnam and bought her."

Authorities didn't believe her and charged her with hate crime.

"If there's evidence that leads the Shoreline City Attorney's Office to file a charge for violation of the separate no-contact order, of course our office would promptly bring that information to the attention of the judge in our felony case," said Casey McNerthney, spokesperson for the King County Prosecuting Attorney.

Before her arrest on April 5th, police were told by several neighbours that "something needed to be done about Myers."

Pham has also said, "I feel like my life is in danger every day I go outside."
