Due to the serious and extreme flooding taking place in Harrison County, Mississippi, many roads are still closed while first responders try to take some control of the situation.

Many backyards are overflowing with water that comes from Bayou Bernard. This water is also overflowing into roadways.

Homes are suffering floods like they've never seen, cars are parked along highways and residents are paddling on paddle boats in order to travel to and from their homes.

Lamey Bridge Road has been barricaded off and a truck has been slowly trying to ease out of the rough, high waters.

Matt Stratton, Harrison County EMA Director has informed individuals that it will take a while before the water starts to clear out.

"It's going to be a few days. Both the Tchoutacabouffa River and the Biloxi River are forecast to crest Tuesday Morning. They will slowly fold through the day Tuesday through Wednesday, but it may not be until late Wednesday that we do get below flood stage on these rivers. The Wolf River in western Harrison County is going to take a little bit longer. It's not forecast to crest until Wednesday morning and so, it will probably be Thursday before it drops down below flood stage."
