Multiple Teenagers Hospitalised Following Gunfire At Texas Apartment Complex

A gunman has opened fire at an apartment complex in Texas, leaving a minimum of five teenagers hurt.

The individuals (aged between 15 and 17) were located in an outdoor section of the Commissioner's Corner Apartments in East El Paso, Texas. An altercation reportedly broke out around 9PM local time.

Adrian Cisneros, an officer with the El Paso Police Department reported the gunman started shooting as the fight began to escalate.

It's been reported that three males and two females were hospitalised after being hit.

Additionally, one female has reportedly suffered potential critical hits, while the others have "non-life-threatening injuries."


A video was shared via YouTube which shows first responders arriving on scene while individuals are shouting.

A 15-year-old suspect has been taken into custody, however, it's too early to confirm if said person was the shooter.

The apartment complex has now been closed due to an ongoing investigation. Crimes Against Persons, the Gang Unit and the Crime Scene Unit have all reportedly responded to the scene.

The El Paso Police Department have yet to comment more on the situation.
