ABC Sydney Is Relocating

ABC News Sydney is set to relocate on September 30th, moving from Ultimo, Sydney to Parramatta, Sydney.

The 7PM bulletin is expected to broadcast from a new studio, that is yet to be completed.

A new building was opened back in May. An official ceremony was led by ABC Chair Kim Williams, ABC Managing Director David Anderson, and Member for Parramatta Dr. Andrew Charlton.

This relocation is part of a five-year plan to see 75% of content makers working outside Ultimo by 2025.

It's been reported that all Sydney radio shows are expected to move to this new location, but there are concerns regarding luring guests to the building.

ABC is also seeking tenants for levels eight to fourteen of the Ultimo building in order to fund the Parramatta building.

Currently, around half of the company's 3,825 staff are located in NSW.
