Retro Cadbury Chocolate Bar Won't Return

Cadbury has revealed one of its most iconic chocolate bars will definitely not be returning, 19 years after the bar was discontinued.

This chocolate bar was discontinued back in 2005. It was first introduced in 1984 and quickly rose to fan favourite.

The snack featured semi-hollow twin bars in a spiral shape, providing a smooth, airy texture.

It was discontinued due to the company not having the ability to keep up with the demand.

A spokesperson recently confirmed the bar would not be returning to shelves.

"We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business.  Our Spira bars were discontinued several years ago but we still have plenty of other delicious sharing bags for consumers to choose from!"

Although these bars haven't been available for almost two decades, fans still have a great memory of the sweet.

There have been multiple petitions online, as well as a Facebook page dedicated to bringing the sweet back. This page has garnered over 35,000 followers.

One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "I miss Cadbury Spira!! Need to get them back,' while another said, "How do I get Cadbury's to bring back the Spira, greatest chocolate bar of all time?"

Other fans reminisced on their memories with the bar.

"Used to get a hot chocolate and use the old Cadbury's bar called a "Spira" like a straw to drink it."

Another person said, "One of my passions is good chocolate. I started eating chocolate at age eight starting with the Spira bar. I still think this bar was the best Cadbury ever produced. It had a hole and you could drink milk through it. They stopped producing it because it was TOO POPULAR."

Cadbury has been urging fans to explore its other offerings, leading to a debate online that asked "What is the worst chocolate bar?"

Users have been quick to share their opinions, which include Bounty, Turkish Delight, Snickers, Milky Bar, Twix, Crunchie, Cadbury Fruit and Nut, and Boost.
