Pilot Dead After Crashing Into New Mexico Home

A small plane has crashed into a New Mexico home, leaving the pilot dead, and the house destroyed by fire.

A twin engine Cessna 310, plowed into the home shortly after leaving a New Mexico airport. After around two minutes, the pilot radioed control tower to report the left engine had failed.

Within moments, the plane slammed into the home, bursting into flames. Thankfully, nobody was in the home at the time.

Fire crews raced to put out the fire, but the home was almost leveled.

Photos show the burned out remains surrounded by lots of debris.

These planes are able to carry up to ten passengers, but the pilot was confirmed to be the only person onboard.

One witness claimed the plane flew east before appearing to turn around quickly before crashing.

“Then there was this huge, massive black smoke."
