Nightclub Investigated After Party

A nightclub in Melbourne is now under investigation after being slammed for allowing influencers to hold snakes and baby crocodiles during a relaunch event.

The Two Wrongs' Instagram page became flooded with images of influencers and reptiles, however all evidence has since vanished.

Model Morgan Waterhouse posted a photo of himself with a large snake wrapped around his neck.

Influencer Britt Reukers posted pics to her stories of someone kissing a baby croc.

The Victorian Conservation Regulator has confirmed an investigation is being undertaken after reports surfaced of the nightclub allowing visitors to handle native reptiles.

An RSPCA Victoria spokesperson has said the environment would've been "highly distressing" for the animals.

“The environment the animals were in is highly likely to have been distressing to the animals and will likely have caused an excessive disturbance for them, particularly for reptiles who are sensitive to vibrations and loud music."

All reports made were referred to the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).

One attendee shared a photo of her and a friend holding a snake around their necks, and fans spread lots of fire and love heart emojis.

All photos have since disappeared from Instagram, however the Instagram account Aussie Influencer Opinions saved screenshots and shared the scenes with followers.

Many outraged comments flooded social media by users who were unsettled with the use of reptiles for "props."

“Use of animals as a promotional tool in an incredibly frightening environment for them is disgusting and cruel."

“Passing around animals in a bar is just cruel. Great rebrand."

“Cultural appropriation to promote your club is one thing, but using animals as a prop to be passed around is f**king gross. YUCK."

There are only three posts left on the club's Instagram, and comments have been disabled.
