A BMW driver was told by coastguards that he "can't park there" after viral footage of his car floating out to sea was established.
Temperatures have been uncharacteristically warm in the UK, leading many to head towards the coast.
One driver's experience, didn't go so well when he ended up fishing his car out of the water.
UK coastguards were called after someone reported a black BMW submerged in the sea at Trevaunance Beach in southwest England.
Footage shows the car, windows down and bonnet-deep in water, as waves crashed over the top with swimmers paddling unfazed nearby.
Other clips show the car on sand, water pouring out the back.
The St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team said they were made aware around 8.30AM local time.
Coastguards arrived shortly afterwards and made sure all occupants were removed from the car.
“We remained on scene while recovery efforts were made and the vehicle was finally removed. Team stood down and returned to station at 1019hrs.”
The coastguards couldn’t resist making a joke a said, “You can’t park there sir!”
Many were slamming the driver for parking his car on the sand, saying he should front the cost of emergency services arriving to help.
“I can’t believe this happens every year! How? You should get fined if your car ends up in the sea, it’s ridiculous."
“Bet the indicators won’t work now after all that sea water as well."
“Did someone forget to tell the tide that BMWs can park anywhere they want?”
