Two teens aged 13 and 14, are now facing murder charges for the alleged gunning down of a cab driver during a robbery in New Jersey.
The cab driver Kofi Addo, was fatally shot after two suspects and a 13-year-old accomplice called a cab with the intention to rob the driver.
The teens allegedly ordered the cab to a location 10-minutes from the university in new Brunswick just before 10PM.
While they got in the cab, they confronted the driver and tried to rob him before one the teens shot Addo in the head as he drove, killing him.
The cab proceeded to crash into a car parked in a driveway, where the killers then fled on foot.
The suspects were found by detectives a day later.
A 14-year old and a 13-year-old have been charged with first degree murder, conspiracy, weapons and robbery charges. A 13-year-old accomplice is facing first-degree robbery charges.
The suspects are being held in the Middlesex County youth detention center and are awaiting a Family Court appearance.
