Apple TV+ has shared a first look into their new seven-part thriller 'Hijack,' set to star Idris Elba who will also be executive producer.
The global debut showcasing two episodes will take place on Wednesday, June 28th on Apple TV+.
'Hijack' is said to be "tense thriller" that follows that story of a hijacked plane as it heads to London via a seven-hour flight, while authorities are on the ground trying to get answers.
Idris will be starring as Sam Nelson, accomplished negotiator within the business world who has to step up to try and save the lives of the passengers.
He uses a high-risk strategy which could be his undoing.
Panjabi will be portraying Zahra Gahfoor, a counterterrorism officer on the ground while the plane is hijacked and becomes part of the investigation.
Idris and Panjabi will be joined by Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel, and Ben Miles.
It has been produced by 60Forty Films, which was established by Emmy Award-winning executive producers Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta, under an exclusive deal with Apple TV+.
It will be produced alongside Kay and Field Smith's producion company Idiotlamp Productions, and will be of the first series to debut from Idris Elba's deal with Apple TV+ and his Green Door Pictures.
