Amazon Prime's 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Second Season Premiere Date

'The Summer I Turned Pretty' finally has a premiere date for season 2.

Amazon Prime announced on May 5th that three episodes of the show will drop on July 14th, with new episodes coming weekly until the season finale on August 18th.

The cast joined a behind-the-scenes video where they are seen together for a shoot. The topic of summer plans comes up and a text from author and creator Jenny Han appears showcasing the episode titles and release dates.

In this video you can see cast members Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, David Iacono, and Elsie Fisher.

The group share the updates via posts on social media before Jenny replies "OMG WRONG CHAT." The group proceed to try and delete the posts.

Season two will feature Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, and Kyra Sedgwick, and is based on Jenny's second book 'It's Not Summer Without You' in the trilogy.

Last season Belly (Lola) was caught in a love triangle with longtime friends Conrad (Christopher) and Jeremiah (Gavin) during an annual getaway to Cousins Beach. She then continues to to naviagte her standing with both, facing new challenges including the health of Susannah (Rachel).

"With Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah's cancer, she's not sure summer will ever be the same. When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah's beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and to decide once and for all where her heart lies," a press release from Amazon Prime states.
