Two Brush Fires Start Near Gorman, Los Angeles

Firefighters have been battling brush fires in Gorman, Los Angeles since Saturday.

"Posey Fire" sparked by the northbound 5 Freeway.

The Angeles National Forest has reported that the forward spread has stopped

A white GMC pickup truck became engulfed within the flames.

"Hungry Fire" spread rapidly. It blackened 340 acres and became 95% contained as of Monday morning.

This fire was reported around 3:30pm and was located in the 36,000 block of Quail Canyon road. 

Air resources diverted from the first flame to the second.

Firefighters were also battling gusty winds.

As of the moment, there have been no confirmed structure threats.
