A man from Peru is facing life-threatening injuries after his vehicle veered into the path of an oncoming car.
Officers from the Indiana State Police and the Cass County Sheriff's Department responded to the crash that occurred on Indiana 25 at Indiana 16.
An 86-year-old Peru man was driving a 2002 Buick LeSabre approaching a stop sign. He failed to stop and pulled into the path of a 2010 Dodge Nitro driven by a 37-year-old woman.
The Peru man was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital by medical helicopter with life-threatening injuries. The woman was treated at the scene for cuts and lacerations.
The crash is under investigation and neither the use of alcohol or narcotics contributed to the crash.
