One Arrested, Another Seriously Injured In Dublin Crash

A cyclist has sustained serious injuries but has resulted in a stable condition after a collision with a sedan that drove from the scene.

The driver was spotted and arrested in San Ramon.

A 56-year-old man from San Ramon has been booked into Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

Reports of a bicycle vs. vehicle collision came into police having occurred in the area of Tassajara Road and Palisades Drive within the Dublin city limits.

The 51-year-old cyclist was found with serious injuries. The vehicle - a BMW sedan - did not stop at the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

The cyclist was transported to hospital, has been reported to be in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

The arrestee's name is been withheld in accordance with with policy on identifying suspects before prosecutors file formal charges.
