Police watchdogs in Quebec, Canada are investigating a police chase that took place in Longueuil, Canada leaving a 22-year-old man in hospital with serious injuries.
Longueuil Police received a call from a woman who reported her friend travelling in a car with a man who had made suicidal comments.
Police officers responded to the call, attempting to stop the vehicle near Route 116 in the St-Hubert area. The man driving refused.
It was reported the man was driving alone at this point and decided to drive off the road beside the ramp for Route 132, close to the exit of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.
The man is suffering from serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Collison occurred and closed off the 132 west, which is situated between Taschereau and Notre-Dame in Saint-Lambert.
There are five investigators probing police response.
